Testosterone Booster, Natural Effective Muscle Growth



Testosterone is what men want, and as men get older there testosterone levels begin to lower. So what is the best way for a man to boost his test levels without having to take steroids? Two popular muscle builders are Tribulus and ZMA. For men looking to still build muscle and boost there testosterone levels without having side effects, these have been shown to have promising results.


Tribulus
Tribulus Terrestris is a vine plant that grows in moderate and tropical climates. Tribulus Terrestris plant has a long history of uses, for example people from around the world have used the Tribulus Terrestris plant to promote overall health, support healthy libido function already in normal range and increase muscle tone.[1] Because of the plants reputed benefits, athletes have used Tribulus Terrestris extract dietary supplements to boost energy levels, to promote healthy hormone function, to enhance muscle tone and to support athletic training.[2] Although it’s unclear how Tribulus Terrestris extract exerts its effects, scientific research has suggested several possible mechanisms of action. Tribulus Terrestris contains steroidal saponins, alkaloids, and flavanoids, and its protodioscins content is believed to be responsible for its effects on hormone, libido and body composition.[3] Clinical research suggests that Tribulus Terrestris may support healthy libido function in humans, and that it may also support healthy blood pressure and healthy cholesterol profiles already in normal range.[4]

ZMA
ZMA has been studied and proven to be an anabolic mineral formula. It contains Zinc Monomethionine Aspartate plus Magnesium Aspartate and vitamin B-6, and is an all-natural product that clinical testing suggests may significantly increase anabolic hormone levels and muscle strength in trained athletes.


There have been many studies proving the effects of ZMA. The studies dose suggests that supplementing with 30mg of Zinc and 450mg of Magnesium per day can elevate testosterone levels. For many athletes I have been proven that Zinc and Magnesium are commonly depleted from their bodies.


A popular study war done by, Lorrie Brilla, PhD, a sports performance researcher at Western Washington University, recently reported that ZMA significantly increase free testosterone levels and muscle strength in NCAA football players. These ZMA study results were presented by Dr. Brilla on June 2, 1999, at the 46th Annual Meeting of the American College of Sports Medicine in Seattle, WA, and were published in the official ACSM journal, Medicine and Science in Sports and Exercise, Vol. 31, No. 5, May 1999.


Specifically, Brilla reported that "a group of competitive NCAA football players who took ZMA nightly during an eight-week spring training program had 2.5 times greater muscle strength gains than a placebo group. Pre and post leg strength measurements were made using a Biodex isokinetic dynamometer." The strength of the ZMA group increased by 11.6% compared to only a 4.6% increase in the placebo group.


Brilla further explained, "The muscle strength increases may have been mediated by the anabolic hormone increases in the ZMA group. The ZMA group had 30% increases in free and total testosterone levels compared to 10 percent decreases in the placebo group... The ZMA group also had a slight increase in insulin-like growth factor-1 (IGF-1) levels compared to a 20 percent decrease in the placebo group. This study shows that anabolic hormone and muscle strength increases can be induced in already strength-trained athletes by using a novel zinc-magnesium preparation."


While taking ZMA men have also noticed a better nights rest. ZMA should be taken 30 - 60 minutes before bed. Most people notice they can fall asleep deeper and then sleep more deeply.


When looking to build clean dry muscle the safe natural way these are two great products to start out with. Anyone male over the age of 21 can benefit from the effects of testosterone. When combing Tribulus and ZMA together, men will notice a more youthful feel in the gym, along with a bigger sex drive. And the nice thing about these products is that you do not have to cycle them on and off. Though this is recommended it is not a absolute.
