"After our second son was born, I wanted to get in better shape. I received a bike for my birthday, and I started riding with the kids in bike carriers. The whole family loved it, and we kept riding further and further. A friend suggested I start weight training to build some muscle for a weeklong bike ride I was interesting in doing. Once I saw the hint of a bicep when I flexed, I was hooked! This was almost 10 years ago and I still love weight training and bike riding. It has done so much for me physically and mentally. I've competed many times in bodybuilding competitions and get in at least one weeklong bike ride every year. This picture was taken at my last competition in May 2004. I am a big believer in efficient training along with sound nutrition to stay fit. Consistency is key! I also enjoy sharing my experiences and helping others pursue their fitness goals, which motivated me to develop FitnessLynn.com.
