What is the Best Creatine?

Written by thebigphil. Posted in Articles, Men's Workouts, Muscle Builders, Women's Workouts

Creatine is by far the most popular workout product on the market. Creatine Monohydrate is one of the most researched products with proven results. Creatine Monohydrate at one point was very grainy and didn’t mix very well, but now it comes in a very fine powder and works! You can find creatine in many different forms; some popular ones are Creatine Magna Power, Creatine Ethyl Ester, Creatine Citrate, and Creatine AKG. With so many options of creatine how do you know which one is best for you? Listed below are our top three creatine products. We chose these off of effectiveness and price.

Con Cret

Creatine HCl has become more and more popular because of its effectiveness. Con Cret is Creatine Monohydrate that is bonded to Hydrochloride (HCl). The reason why this is so effective is because the body breaks down HCl very easily and when it is bonded to creatine it leads to a faster more effective absorption rate.

Creatine RT

Not many people knew what Russian Tarragon was until Athletic Edge came out with it. Russian Tarragon is as effective as consuming 50 grams of carbohydrates without the negative side effects. Taking creatine with Russian Tarragon helps increase abosroption and makes create more effective. Creatine RT also use Taurine to help open up blood to make it more receptive to nitric oxide based products.

One of the most effective creatine supplements on the market. CarnoCre can be used when cutting and bulking. CarnoCre is often looked at as being a Beta Alanine product, but combining Beta Alanine with creatine helps produce a better creatine supplement. CarnoCre is not loaded with creatine but it does have a precise amount of creatine in it to help boost muscle performance.

These are our top three best creatine supplements. If you are interested in developing muscle and are tired of using Creatine Monohydrate, give one of these three a try.

3 supplements you should be taking in the gym

Written by bigredhulk. Posted in Pre-Workouts, Supplements

Before hitting the gym there are three supplements that every athlete needs to take. Whether you are trying to build muscle or increase strength, there are three simple types of products you should target. These products can typically be found in a good preworkout formula.

3 Things To Look For In Your Pre Workout

Creatine – ATP is very important when it comes to workouts. Creatine helps with the production of this muscle energy, called ATP. Creatine helps to fuel the muscle by saturation of creatine phosphates. These phosphates rapidly break down and absorb and are used as energy during exercise. This can help with endurance as well as heavy lifting. Creatine has also been correlated to hydrating the muscles, which may cause a slight bloat if taken in excessive amounts.

Beta-Alanine – For cellular energy, Beta-Alanine is by far the best thing. For high intensity workouts it is important to have the right supplements to fuel your muscles and few supplements are better than Beta-Alaine. Beta-Alanine helps with the production of carnosine, which has been shown to help delay the buildup of lactic acid in the muscles during a workout. So when using beta-Alanine you are able to perform more reps without having the burning feeling after a set.  Where creatine is very quick to show results, Beta-Alanine may take a week or two to really show. Also, some people who use Beta-Alaine notice a flush or tingling feeling, so make sure to follow the directions on the label and allow your body to gradually become acclimated.

Waxy Maize – It is important to load the ingredients into your muscles. If you want to optimize your workouts by increasing muscle pumps and endurance, using waxy maize is a great option. Waxy Maize is a carbohydrate that has been shown to help with the uptake of nutrients when taken. Taking Waxy Maize with Creatine and Beta-Alanine can really help improve your results and the effectiveness of those ingredients. Each serving of Waxy Maize will differ for the individual but don’t underestimate its value to your pre supplement workout supply.

All these products can be found in a good preworkout powder. Though many concentrate preworkout formulas will skimp on these ingredients so it is important to either add them in or to by a non concentrated formula. Many preworkout concentrates are designed to help with focus and intensity, but do very little when it comes to building strength and size. Other products like SuperPump Max, NO Xplode or White Flood are very helpful in building muscle and strength but may lack in energy. Some people will combine the two, by using a half scoop of a concentrate in addition to another formula.

There is a reason it’s called a Pre Workout - So before you hit the gym, give your body the fuel it needs to perform at it’s peak and enjoy those hard earned results that you deserve.

Before we get started, here is a list of what is in the NEW NITRIX 2.0Nitrix 2.0

  • L-citrulline
  • Hawthorne extract
  • Pomegranate fruit
  • Grape seed extract
  • Pterostilbene
  • Capsimax
  • Trans-resveratrol (resVida)
  • Bioperine
  • Creatine monohydrate
  • Creatine HCl (Con-Cret)
  • Creatine anhydrous

So what is BSN Nitrix 2.0?

If you cannot tell this formula is designed to help increase strength, while increasing pumps. A full serving of Nitrix 2.0 you will receive 3g or L-Citrulline and 3g or Creatine. It is unknown of how much of each ingredient is in each serving other than the L-Citrulline. There are three form of creatine so it may be that there is 1g for each. One can assume that a half serving will give 1.5 grams  of L-Citrulline and the rest is unknown. What we can tell is that the rest of the blend contains high antioxidants. Antioxidants can help with recovery and strength gains. Two other ingredients that stand apart from the others are Capsimax and Bioperine. Capsimax works to help increase thermogenics and blood flow, while Bioperine helsp with absorption of ingredients.

Nitrix vs Nitrix 2.0

The old formula of Nitrix is different but still is a very functional nitric oxide pill. The old formula used arginine in combination with citrulline. It also used Carnosyn and had a completely different creatine formula. On a personal note I believe that the old formula was a great recovery formula and a mild pump formula. It was also at adding size, but a lot of size was water retention. The New formula looks to be a good pump formula because of its high dosage of Citrulline and the creatine blend is a potent blend that should have little water retention with it. I am unsure with the Capsimax in the product and the value that it offers, but this does not mean that it doesn’t work. I have tried Capsimax in other products and those products tend to be very good pump products.

BSN Nitrix 2.0

What Nitrix Formula is better?

This will all be up to the user. The new formula is a good formula and doesn’t offer as many pills as the old formula which is a big plus. What should also be remembered is that the pump comes from the food that you eat. Keeping glycogen uptake high can create a powerful pump but this isn’t for everyone.  Nitrix 2.0 will offer strong pumps but more importantly, help increase strength gains.

Beast Sports Creature Creatine supplement  has been a top selling creatine matrix over the last year and continues to impress. Recently Beast Sports has added two new flavors to Creature Creatine – Cherry Limeade and Pink Lemonade. The original flavor was Citrus, but Beast knew that people loved their formula but wanted new flavors to change it up.

Why you need Creatine

Why you should use Beast Sports Creature

As many of you already know, creatine is almost vital to building muscle and increasing strength. Due to the recent years of purification in creaitne, people no longer have to worry about loading and heavy water retention when taking creatine. The Body naturally produces creatine but when under a lot of physical stress the body cannot keep up with its creation production. This can cause a lack in strength gains and an increase in muscle soreness. This is why it is so important to use creatine supplements.

Here is what Beast Sports has to say about Creature Creatine

“Beast Sports Creature is a blend of four top quality types of Creatine. Creapure brand Creatine is imported from Germany utilizing a patented manufacturing process, Creatine MagnaPower is made up of Creatine and Magnesium bound to form Magnesium Creatine Chelate, Creatine AKG is Creatine bound to Alpha-keto-glutaric Acid, and Creatine Anhydrous is Creatine with the water molecule removed. Custom picked, these ingredients are a higher purity and will get absorbed into the body quicker to prevent bloating and intestinal discomfort. Creature also includes Vanadium Citrate to assure maximum uptake directly to the muscle cells.” – Beast Sports

For maximum gains make sure to use Creature Powder 30 minutes before weight lifting of physical exercise and then directly after the activity. Creatine has come a long way over the last 10 years and it will continue to improve. If you have been looking for a new creatine matrix, or tired of using bland flavors for creatine, try the new Beast Sports Creature Powder flavors.

MuscleTech Anabolic Halo Performance Series

Written by bigredhulk. Posted in Articles, Muscle Builders, Protein, Reviews, Supplements, Videos

The New formula of Anabolic Halo is finally here. If you liked the old formula that left a cool refreshing taste in your mouth, sorry but the new formula does not do that. What it does accomplish is providing  muscle fuel for full muscle recovery.  The new MuscleTech Anabolic Halo Performance Series is the ultimate all-in-one muscle shake.

If you are a supplement junky and are tired of having to swallow down a massive amount of supplements through the day, Anabolic Halo was designed for you. Anabolic Halo Performance Series is designed to help improve muscle recovery, load muscles with proper amino acids, and load muscles with carbohydrates and creatine after a workout. Anabolic Halo also has 40 grams of protein that ranges from fast to low metabolizing.

Let us take a deeper look into the New Anabolic Halo Performance Series. This product covers all the muscle building stages that are needed. There are three critical things that need to happen to build muscle rapidly.

The new Anabolic Halo Formula contains key amino acids, creatine and Tart Cherry for optimal muscle recovery.

-          Amino Acids: Anabolic Halo Performance Series contain a high dosage of Glutamine and Glutamic Acid, along with a 2:1 ratio of BCAAs. This combination will help aid in faster muscle recovery along with better nitrogen retention. Having sustained nitrogen retention can help improve muscle recovery.

-          Creatine: A full serving of Anabolic Halo offers 5 grams of Creatine Monohydrate. This is great for mid day creatine load before a evening workout, or drinking directly after a workout to help restore muscle and help them recover faster.

-          Tart Cherry: The first protein blend / muscle shake to offer Tart Cherry. Tart Cherry is thought to be a super antioxidant. Antioxidants help fight oxidative stress and free radicals that the body increases in during and after a workout.

To truly replenish muscles it is important to replenish glycogen cells and load them with the nutrients they need. Anabolic Halo Performance Series does this by:

-          Carbohydrates: Many people forget the value of consuming healthy carbohydrates. Consuming carbohydrates after a difficult workout can help increase protein absorption as well as replenish the muscle fibers. Also, using carbohydrates before a workout can help load glycogen cells, so that the body may be able to more muscle and increase in strength.

-          Creatine: A great recovery agent, Creatine is also well known for helping replenish muscles after a workout. Consuming creatine after a workout replenishes the muscle when taken with a carbohydrate.

-          Electrolytes: When was the last time you saw a protein mix that contained electrolytes? It seems like such a simple thing, and yet it is often skipped for many post workout protein drinks.

Final Thoughts on MuscleTech Anabolic Halo Performance Series

The New Anabolic Halo Performance Series is a great post workout shake and mid day muscle recovery shake. I know that they do not want to put a certain label on what kind of ‘shake’ it is but truly it is designed to help recover, which is important to building muscle and getting stronger. If you are less than 180lbs taking one scoop a day is fine, if you are above 180lbs you will need to be taking two scoops a day. This product can save people some money because it is reasonably priced and offers a lot for each serving.
