Toned Not Muscular

Written by Jules Riley. Posted in Women's Workouts, Workout Plans

Many women believe that lifting weight cause them to build muscle like men. Though some women desire this, this is highly unlikely. The reason why men are able to be so muscular is because they have a high amount of testosterone, women have estrogen. In fact too much estrogen in women can hamper women’s workouts and slow down the effects in the gym.

A thing that women need to think about is that weight lifting burns more calories faster than basic cardio. The reason why weight lifting burns more calories is because muscles need calories to develop and recover. Cardio uses less muscle mass and will not use as many calories to recover. Incorporating a workout that uses both weights and cardio is probably most suitable for women.

Here are three little tips to burn calories and being fit.

1)      Boost Metabolism in the Morning. This can change for each woman but remember that boosting the metabolism gets the rest of the day started on a better note. This can be as simple as drinking a black cup of coffee to walking for 10 min or maybe do both. Also eating certain foods in the morning can help increase the metabolism. A mixture of fruit, protein and greek yogurt can help give you energy and improve the metabolism.

2)      Do circuit training. Circuit training are what many classes use at the gym, it should consist of weights and cardio. Like it is mentioned above this will burn more calories, and not make you bulky. I know a few women who put on muscle fairly easily, but this doesn’t mean that every woman is like that. Most women have a difficult time building muscle, and the benefits of using weights are far better than just cardio.

3)      Sleep! Sleep is very important and often forgotten of its value. Getting 8 hours of sleep a night helps maintain proper hormones and allows the body to recovery. If you notice that you are often tired, and lack motivation to make it to the gym, try to go to bed earlier.

If you follow these three simple rules you can help improve muscle tone. Make sure to start your day off right and get the right amount of sleep. If you already hit the weights hard and are looking for something that can help you recover faster, we recommend that you try AminoLast by Gaspari Nutrition. Aminolast will help hydrate the body during circuit training, and has key amino acids to help with recovery.

Popular Weight Loss Supplement: 7-Keto

Written by bigredhulk. Posted in Articles

Earlier this year Dr. Oz talked about a weight loss supplement that was safe and effective for just about any individual, this product was called 7-keto. The body naturally makes 7-keto and uses it as a energy source by transporting fat into energy. If you are 20 years or older and are looking to burn fat and improve body composition then supplementing with 7-keto may be right for you.

What to Expect with 7-Keto:

-          Boost in metabolic rate

-          Spark lean muscle growth

-          Regulate natural energy levels

7-keto is a derivative of DHEA. DHEA is one of the most abundant hormones in the body and is used by many lifters. What is unique about 7-Keto is that is does not convert into a hormone, so it bypasses the excessive amount of hormones but still gives the benefits of losing weight.

If you are just starting out and want to kick start your weight loss, or if you have 10lbs left to reach your goal, supplementing with 7-Keto may be helpful. As people age their hormones levels begin to drop, though 7-keto is non hormonal it is a metabolite of DHEA which means that they body would not be able to produce it as abundantly.

When supplementing with 7-Keto you can take between 50mg to 200mg per day. Depending on age or whether you are taking it with another product will determine how much you should take. You can purchase 7-keto also a stand alone or with other ingredients mixed in.

Check out these products for our top selling 7-Keto:

-          7-Keto Musclelean

-          Lean System 7

-          Youth

For people who want to stay in shape or desire to be in shape supplementing with 7-keto can be a great addition to your supplement arsenal.

Boost Metabolism with Raspberry Ketones

What is Metabolism?

Metabolism, is the set of chemical reactions that happen in the cells of living organisms to sustain life. These processes allow organisms to grow and reproduce, maintain their structures, and respond to their environments. The word metabolism can also refer to all chemical reactions that occur in living organisms, including digestion and the transport of substances into and between different cells, in which case the set of reactions within the cells is called intermediary metabolism or intermediate metabolism.

Metabolism is usually divided into two categories. Catabolism breaks down organic matter, for example to harvest energy in cellular respiration. Anabolism uses energy to construct components of cells such as proteins and nucleic acids.

The chemical reactions of metabolism are organized into metabolic pathways, in which one chemical is transformed through a series of steps into another chemical, by a sequence of enzymes. Enzymes are crucial to metabolism because they allow organisms to drive desirable reactions that require energy and will not occur by themselves, by coupling them to spontaneous reactions that release energy. As enzymes act as catalysts they allow these reactions to proceed quickly and efficiently. Enzymes also allow the regulation of metabolic pathways in response to changes in the cell’s environment or signals from other cells.

Can Raspberry Ketones affect Weight Loss?

When given to mice in high doses (up to 2% of food intake), raspberry ketone has been shown to prevent high-fat-diet-induced elevations in body weight.[8] This effect is reported to stem from the alteration of lipid metabolism, increasing norepinephrine-induced lipolysis. Although products containing this compound are marketed for weight loss, this effect has not been studied in humans.

Red raspberry is a plant that is the source of a widely eaten, tasty, sweet berry. However, red raspberry fruit and leaf have also been used as medicine for centuries. The therapeutic use of raspberry leaf was first described in 1597 in a book called “The Herbal,” or “A General History of Plants.” Today, red raspberry leaf and fruit are still used as medicine.

What are Raspberry Ketones?

Red raspberry leaf is used for gastrointestinal (GI) tract disorders, including diarrhea; for respiratory system disorders, including flu and swine flu; and for heart problems, fever, diabetes, and vitamin deficiency. It is also used to promote sweating, urination, and bile production. Some people use it for general “purification of skin and blood.”

Some women use raspberry leaf for painful periods, heavy periods, morning sickness associated with pregnancy, preventing miscarriage, and easing labor and delivery.

Red raspberry leaf is applied directly to the skin for sore throat and skin rash.

In foods, red raspberry fruit is eaten and processed into jams and other foods. Red raspberry leaf in small quantities is a source of natural flavoring in Europe.

The appropriate dose of red raspberry depends on several factors such as the user’s age, health, and several other conditions. At this time there is not enough scientific information to determine an appropriate range of doses for red raspberry. Keep in mind that natural products are not always necessarily safe and dosages can be important. Be sure to follow relevant directions on product labels and consult your pharmacist or physician or other healthcare professional before using.
