Neurocore Supplement Review

Neurocore Review

MuscleTech has always been a company that has been well respected in the supplements industry. Sure they received some flak for their advertisements and the ephedra ban, but they are still loved by the people for their products. Maybe it’s because they aren’t afraid to take risk or that they put science into their products and get each one backed by studies.

One newer product on the market is Neurocore. The name might throw you off. Yes, it will help you focus and get serious while lifting but it is a great nitric oxide product as well.

In this review I will give the Pro’s and Con’s to this product. Luckily there are more Pro’s than Con’s.

If taking three scoops of this product, which most meatheads weighing over 200lb are already doing with Jack3d, this product should offer better strength and muscle pumps.

-          Beta Alanine has been shown to increase carnosine levels. Carnosine levels are what feeds the muscle energy and fights against the burn that happen while repping out 225 for 20. This keeps the muscles fueled and primed. The proper dosaging for Beta-Alanine is 3g’s which would be fewer than three full scoops of neurocore.

-          Citrulline has been studied and proven to be more effective at having long term effects on producing nitric oxide. Citrulline is a nitric oxide precursor, meaning that it doesn’t directly convert into NO2 but fuels the body so that it can produce nitric oxide more effectively. L-Citrulline has been studied and proven to be effective with 3g’s, this would be three full scoops of Neurocore.

-          Creatine HCl is what you will find in ConCret. Creatine HCl is a highly potent creatine so the body doesn’t need much of it to get the full effect of it. For a 200lb male 2 scoops of Neurocore will give a sufficient amount of Creatine HCL.

Now like I mentioned before there are not many Con’s and it might not even be a Con for some. The biggest Con that I can really point out is if you are sensitive to stimulants this product wouldn’t be the best product for you. The reason why I feel like this is a Con is because with Neurocore to get optimal dosing you really need to do 2 ½ scoops to 3 scoops, this would end up being around 250 to 300mg’s of caffeine. This doesn’t include the geranium that is also in this product. With Caffeine and Geranium combined at this dose it would be too much for someone who is sensitive to caffeine.

Overall if you are a 200lb+ male I would say this product is meant for you! Will offer full long lasting pumps with a great feeling of intensity and focus while lifting. If you are sensitive to caffeine or at least high dosages of it you can also take a look into Nanostim by MuscleTech for your pre workouts.

A Feel Good Weight Loss

Written by bigredhulk. Posted in Articles

Losing weight tends to be a painful process. Not many people enjoy losing weight and they have good reason for it. When losing weight the hardest part for people is the little cravings that they have. These people often being to crave sugars when they begin dieting. This is because sugar is something that your body finds addictive. Many people will turn to sugar, in different form, when they are under stress. Dieting is a stressful thing and many people find it hard to do because they can’t fight these sugar cravings.

Here is how to get thin quick, Stimerx ES is a potent fat burner that directly affects the brain and its cravings. Stimerex ES has a blend of phenylalanine. Phenylalanine is a compound that helps with brain function and wellness. People who take phenylalanine have noticed a boost in mood and a lack in food cravings. It helps put people in good moods along with fighting hunger.

Stimerex ES is not just about making people feel good, though this is nice, it also helps boost metabolism and increase energy. To get thin quick it is important to have a fast metabolism. Metabolism is what determines how many calories people burn in a day. If people are able to speed up their metabolism, and eat the same, they will lose weight gradually. If they boost their metabolism and decrease the amount of bad food they eat then people can lose weight quickly.

Energy is also important when people are eating healthy. Many people who switch up their diet often notice how their energy levels lower because the body is trying to figure out what’s going on. Stimerex ES has 150mg of caffeine in each serving. This will help keep energy up and allow them to focus on work and not the doughnuts on the counter break room.

How to get thin quick is really a bad way to look at things. It would be better to think, how much fun can I have while I am losing weight? What activities are fun and help be burn calories, and what foods do I enjoy eating that taste good. At the end of the day if they still need some help Stimerex ES is a simple choice.

‘Tis the Season to Overeat

Written by thebigphil. Posted in Articles

You know what that means. After the New Year everyone will be scrambling to find the right diet plan to make up for going overboard during the holidays.

Do you eat differently? Go to the gym more? Take a diet pill?

To get the optimal effect, all three of these together could be the way to lose that holiday weight.

A good fat burner can help you with a new eating regimen by helping to suppress your appetite.

Remember, it’s not eating less, it’s eating healthier. If you can separate your meals into 6 tinier meals during the day you can help reset what your body is currently used to.  If you combine this with a great appetite control supplement you can help your body get used to these changes.

What about the gym?

You don’t necessarily have to go to a gym to lose those pounds. You don’t need some sort of super ripped fat burner or an expensive health club membership.  With just minor changes such as incorporating morning walks or actually doing your household chores, you can help burn off pounds.

Some diet pills out there that are labeled as Thermogenics can play a big role in this. By accelerating your body’s temperature while doing minimal exercise you are going to start sweating. People don’t realize just how much excess body weight they are carrying around with them and a great thermogenic can help with this.

So there it is. Find a diet pill that works for you. Eat healthier in smaller portions and get mild to moderate exercise. It’s not going to happen overnight. If you can just take a few simple steps and incorporate them into your daily routine you could be kissing that holiday weight goodbye in time!

Why Vitamin D Is Important

Written by thebigphil. Posted in Articles

This week I want to talk to u guys about Vitamin D and how important it is, especially close to a show. Calcium is necessary for muscular contraction. If calcium is prevalent enough in the body, muscles contract better, and growth and fuel burning processes are enhanced. So without it, full hard muscle contraction can’t be achieved.

Phosphorus also helps in providing quick, powerful muscular contractions, which include the majority of movements during workout. Because vitamin D gets converted in the body to a steroid hormone – 1,25-dihydroxy vitamin D – it makes sense that it would have some effect on strength. This active form of Vitamin D binds to specific receptors found on membranes and nuclei of muscle cells. When it binds to these receptors, it enhances muscle contraction and protein synthesis – the buildup of muscle protein that leads to muscle growth. The best and safest source of Vitamin D is sun. Vitamin D is also naturally found in butter, eggs, and fish liver oils. But sometimes it is not enough that is why athletes/bodybuilders can take it in capsules. Recommended dose is 1,000 international units about twice per day with meals. Many people who don’t get enough vitamin D often suffer from muscular weakness and weak bones; therefore, it is important to be aware of the health benefits that each vitamin has to offer. The conclusion is that sufficient Vitamin D is necessary for strong muscles. But you have to be careful cause too much vitamin D toxicity can be a bad thing. Vitamin D toxicity usually results from taking an excessive amount of vitamin D supplements  not from your diet or too much sun exposure. That’s because your body regulates the amount of vitamin D produced from sun exposure, and even fortified foods don’t contain large amounts of vitamin D.

Although vitamin D toxicity is rare even among people who take supplements, you may be at greater risk if you have health problems, such as liver or kidney conditions, or if you take thiazide-type diuretics. As always, make sure your doctor is aware of any vitamins or supplements you take.

Treatment of vitamin D toxicity includes stopping vitamin D supplements and restricting calcium intake, as well as taking medication. In severe cases, hospitalization may be necessary.

Supplements can be a reasonable way to meet recommended levels — as long as you pay attention to how much you take. The recommended daily allowance of vitamin D is 600 international units (IU) for children and most adults. The recommendation for adults over age 70 is 800 IU daily. Above 4,000 IU a day the risk of adverse effects increases.

Fish Oil And Omega-3 Fatty Acids

Written by thebigphil. Posted in Articles

Hey guys I wanted to talk a lil about fish with u guys.

I use it almost the whole time I’m dieting for a show. Fish is a staple of every bodybuilder’s diet. Even before we knew that certain fats were actually good for us, most types of fish made a great source of lean protein for the serious weight trainer.

On today’s bodybuilding menu, fattier fish like tuna and trout also make the list, thanks to their essential omega-3 fatty acids that not only offer health benefits, but also can actually enhance muscle growth and fat loss. Low-fat fish, such as cod, halibut, sole, light tuna and tilapia still makes a great meal for bodybuilders. So, if someone is telling you that tilapia is a good low-fat fish to eat, you may be wondering why the mainstream media has been telling you to avoid tilapia like the plague.

That’s a great question, and of course, we have a great answer.

It’s just another case of scientists failing to use common sense. The researchers who claimed that tilapia was unhealthier for you than bacon or a greasy burger were from Wake Forest University (Winston-Salem, North Carolina). Why did they make this claim? It’s because, according to a study they published in a 2008 issue of the Journal of the American Dietetic Association, tilapia has an unsavory ratio of omega-6 fatty acids to omega-3 fatty acid. They were correct in the finding that tilapia has a ratio of omega-6 to omega-3 of between 2:1 and 3:1. A healthy diet should contain a ratio of 1:1 or less.

But note that the key word here is diet. That does not signify that every single food you eat in your diet has to have this ratio. It just means that at the end of the day, your total intake ration for omega-6 and omega-3 fatty acids should hit about 1:1 or less; that is, you should eat an equal amount of omega-3 and omega-6, or less omega-6 than omega-3. You need a certain amount of both in your diet. What the researchers neglected to mention is that tilapia is a low-fat fish. So, despite its ratio of omega-6 to omega-3, it contains very little of both. The U.S. Department of Agriculture lists tilapia as having just 2 grams of fat per 3.5 ounces (the amount of fish used in their study). The Wake Forest researchers reported that tilapia has only about 300 milligrams of omega-3 fatty acids per 3.5 ounces; so, at a ratio of 2:1 to 3:1, it has only about 600-900 mg of omega-6 fatty acids. If you had a typical 7-ounce piece of tilapia, you’d still only be getting about 1,200-1,800 mg of omega-6 fatty acids. That’s not enough to be considered unhealthy. What’s more, if you supplement with omega-3 fatty acids, as every serious bodybuilder should, a dose of only about 1-2 g of omega-3 fatty acids would have you more than covered to keep your ratio in the 1:1 range

Until Next Time,

Corey Upton
